CIRCULAR
Subject: Coverage under Central Services (Pension) Rules, 1972 of National
Pension System, of those Central Government employees whose selection for
appointment was finalized before 01.04.2004 but who joined Government Service
on or after 01.01.2004. - reg.
A copy of the Circular No.43/A-20019/Misc. Clrcular/CDN/CHQ/2019 dated
24.02.2020 along with the copies of Office Memorandum No.57/04/2019-P&PW (B) dated
17.02.2020 issued by the Director (P) & Department of Pension and PW, Government of
India, New Delhi on the above mentioned subject are attached herewith for wide
circulation to State Units, Division etc. Government servants, who are eligible to exercise
option in accordance with para-4 detailed given in D/o P & PW's OM dated 17.02.2020
may seek one-Time option, to be covered under the CCS (Pension ) Rules, 1972 .latest m£
3-i.os.2020. Those do not want to exercise their option by the stipulated date, shall
continue to be covered by the National Pension System. The option may be submitted by
the-GoAcerned-Government-Ser:var-its. totl:le-ADG-&HOD,-NeR, · Regional- Headquarter-s,--North-,
Eastern Region, Shillong by 31.05.2020 for onward transmission to CHQ.
