Protein is an important part of a healthy diet. Proteins are made
up of chemical 'building blocks' called amino acids. Your body uses
amino acids to build and repair muscles and bones and to make
hormones and enzymes. They can also be used as an energy
source.

FISH

Nutrition that fishes contain

Fish is filled with omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins such as D and
B2 (riboflavin). Fish is rich in calcium and phosphorus and a great
source of minerals, such as iron, zinc, iodine, magnesium, and
potassium.

Generally, fish is made up of 70-84 percent water, 15-24 percent


protein, 0.1-22 percent fat and 1-2 percent minerals and 0.1-1
percent carbohydrate.

Food items rich in vitamins and minerals are called protective
foods. Vitamins and minerals are micronutrients required in small
quantities; however, they are essential for maintaining a healthy
