Summary Thesis

Through this thesis, open loop control strategies are studied for a pumping system with multiple
inverters connected to a common DC link, powered from Photovoltaic panels, with the purpose of
reducing current harmonics in the DC link.

The PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) Modeling Strategy is carried out using SV (Space vector) thus
applying various sequences of switching to the inverters to obtain a minimum ripple current in the DC
link. In addition, inverters work with the purpose of being able to extract the maximum available power
of the photovoltaic system. This is obtained through the P&O technique (Perturb and Observe Algorithm
Perturbation and observation algorithm).

This work is done using Simulink which is a programming platform toolbox MATLAB. In which the
strategies previously presented are carried out.

The results show that within a system with multiple investors sharing a common DC link, the use of
multiple carrier signals out of phase with each other, with a phase shift angle depending on the number
of inverters connected to the DC link, allows reducing the harmonic content of the system in operation.
Furthermore, the use of the P&O strategy for the obtaining the maximum power point improves the
efficiency of the proposed system.
