Simple past tense.

It tells us about something happened in the past.


We add -ed for most verb to show simple past tense.
If the verb ends with vowel “e”, we just add -d.
For example: tasted, baked, loved, liked
If the verb ends with “y” and before the “y” there is a consonant, we need to change “y” and write -ied.
For example:
Cry = cried
Fry = fried
Try = tried
