A cause is the reason for an event.
A cause answers the question : WHY
Nana was tired because she did many works yesterday.
Orlando had toothache because he ate too much chocolate.
An effect is what happens as a result of a cause. For example:
Effect: talking about the result. What happen then?
Jeff got a good score, so he jumped high.

I have a terrible, because I ate too much chocolate.

Miss Ruby was hungry, so she ate the pizza.
Jeff will have English test tomorrow, so he studies seriously.
