Mood Board - Lighting Your Space

What is your space (kitchen/bath/living room)?

Referring back to what we have learned about the types lighting choose three
lighting “pieces” for your space. The three types of lighting must be cohesive (the
pieces should have a unified/complementary look) within the room and also with
your other design choices (i.e. texture).
For each piece you choose explain why you chose this type of lighting for your
space using design/lighting terminology.
Follow my example.
Space = Bedroom / Accent Lighting- #1

I chose accent lighting for my first example. I chose

this type of lighting because my inspiration is also a
piece of art that I am using as a focal point in the room.
I want place emphasis on this painting and an accent
light is a great way to do this.
Space = Living Room / Indirect Lighting- #1

I chose indirect lighting for my first example. You

can see indirect lighting in the sconces on either side
of the fireplace. These sconces will light up the walls
around the fireplace, drawing the eye to the focal
point.
Space = Living Room / Accent Lighting- #2

I chose accent lighting for my second example. You

can see the accent lighting stemming from the
bookcases. The accent lighting highlights the
bookcases, and allows for people to easily see what is
being showcased.
Space = Living Room / Direct Lighting- #2

I chose direct lighting for my third example. The

ceiling lights provide direct light throughout the
whole space. While there is a lot of natural light, the
ceiling lights provide light for the entire room when
it gets dark outside.
