Level Spell AoE Duration Range Type Description


1 Type Solid 10 cu' P 10' I Caster learns the various physical and chemical properties of
target substance. This also yields a +50 to Alchemy and
associated lore (such as Metal Lore).

2 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl Self F Caster can modify the target solid's appearance. Use of this
Appearance spell can change a substance to any color including translucent
(but not transparent).
3 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can modify the target solid's appearance, touch, smell,
Substance taste, and acoustic qualities.
4 Mold Solid 10 cu' 1 min/lvl Touch F While this spell is in effect the caster can alter the shape of up
to 10 cubic feet of solid matter by using his hands to mold the
solid like clay. While being molded the solid is still subject to
the environment. Molding a solid is a slow process that
generally takes 1 minute for small simple tasks, while larger
tasks can take up to 30 minutes. Sculpting obviously takes much
longer and multiple castings of this spell.
5 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can modify the target solid's hardness. The AT can be
Hardness modified by +/- 4, or the Mohs Scale could be moved by +/-2.
Armor so modified will encumber according to the adjusted AT
and will require the associated penalties. The GM may decide to
modify the HPs of any item as he sees fit.
6 Decrease Solid 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster temporarily "destroys" any portion of the target's mass
for the duration of this spell. The "destroyed" area must be
contiguous and cannot divide the remainder into multiple
pieces. The maximum area effect is up to 10 cubic feet or 50%
of the target total mass, whichever is less.
7 Increase Solid 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster "creates" increases the mass and corresponding size of
the target by up to 10 cubic feet or 50% of the original mass.
The end shape cannot change the shape of the original solid, but
can add to it in any way the caster sees fit.
8 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can modify the target solid's density by +/-50% or 0.75
Density g/cm3 whichever is greater. The size of the solid does not
change, just the mass.
9 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can modify the target solid's melting point by +/-75% or
Melting Point 75 degrees centigrade whichever is greater. If part or all of the
solid is melted while this spell is in effect, then once the
duration wears off, the solid will re-solidify in whatever shape it
is in at that point. Caution: Do not drink such liquids!
10 Minor Enchanted 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can modify the target solid's kindling point by +/-75% or
Kindling Point 75 degrees centigrade whichever is greater. If part or all of the
solid is burned while this spell is in effect, then that portion is
permanently destroyed.
11 Minor 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10 ' F This spell allows the caster to modify any other minor trait of a
Enchantment substance such as ductility, malleability, flexibility,
conductivity and other traits not covered. This cannot make a
solid radioactive.
12 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 10 ' F As Minor Enchanted Appearance, but affects a greater volume
Appearance and can make a solid transparent (but not invisible).
13 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F As Minor Enchanted Substance, but affects a greater volume
Substance and can make variable qualities (it smells like oranges at one
temperature, and smells like a wet dog at another temperature).
14 Copy Solid 10 cu' 10 min/lvl 10' F Caster can create a physical double of any one solid up to 10
cubic feet. No magical qualities can be copied unless the
substance itself is magical (i.e. mithril).
15 Minor Solid Cross Varies - 10' F This spell allows the caster to use the next minor enchantment
Enchantment from this list to modify a liquid, gas, animal, or plant. The GM
will have to monitor these effects an interpret the results.
Enchanted Hardness may have little effect on a gas, but could
be used to make tougher trees and so forth.
16 Permanent Minor 1 Spell Varies 10' F This spell makes a minor enchantment from this list to have a
Enchantment permanent duration. This spell must be cast prior to the
enchantment for 24 days in a row. Each day, the target solid
will be effected by the spell for 1 additional hour per day. If a
day of casting this spell is missed, then the day count drops by 4
days. At the end of 24 days, the enchantment is permanent.
When this happens the solid is no longer considered enchanted
and is now a "normal" solid that can be modified by more minor
enchantment spells from this list.
17 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Enchanted Hardness, except for target volume and
Hardness the caster can modify the AT by +/-8 or the Mohs hardness by
+/-4.
18 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Enchanted Density, except for target volume and the
Density caster can modify the density by +/-90% or 1.50g/cm3
whichever is greater.
19 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Enchanted Melting Point, except for target volume
Melting Point and the caster can modify the melting point by +/-90% or 100
degrees centigrade whichever is greater
20 Major Enchanted 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Enchanted Kindling Point, except for target volume
Kindling Point and the caster can modify the kindling point by +/-90% or 100
degrees centigrade whichever is greater.
25 Major 100 cu' 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Enchantment, except for target volume and the caster
Enchantment can also modify radioactivity.
30 Major Solid Cross Varies 10 min/lvl 100' F As Minor Solid Cross Enchantment, except the caster can
Enchantment modify Major Enchantments.
50 Permanent Major 100 cu' P 100' F As Permanent Minor Enchantment except it can be used on
Enchantment Major Enchantments.
Note: The spells on this list only work on solid, inanimate matter. Magic items resist these spells at +10 to +75 depending on their
power level. No solid may be affected by more than one enchantment spell at a time. Once an enchantment becomes permanent, then
the transmutation of the substance is complete and is no longer considered to be "enchanted" or magical. No solid can have its density
reduced into the negatives, but zero is possible.
