XRD pattern for prepared CdO thin diffraction patterns exhibits peaks
film of thickness 300nm, indicate that represent to (220) and (311) plane
the film was amorphous before and which appear with low intensities as
after irradiation as in Fig.1 (a-b), and compared to that of (111) and (200)
the films become polycrystalline planes. The intensity of the ( 111),
before and after irradiation, with an fcc (200) and (220) peaks decreases, and
cubic structure typical of CdO (PDF all peaks are more broadened with
card No: 005-0640) with increasing increasing gamma radiation, as shown
thickness. All the films indicate a in Fig.1(a-f), and this is an agreement
preferred orientation along (111) and with other literatures [1,9]. The shift in
(200) planes as in Fig. 1(c-f). XRD the diffraction peak position towards
studies obvious that the structure of lower diffraction angle compared to
these films was became nanostructure CdO films before irradiations as in
on irradiation with a gamma radiation. Table 1.
