3. Causes of the a) The Bank Failure - Banks collapsed because panicked savers withdrew
Great Depression all their money, which the banks didn't have on hand.

worsened the economic slump.

c) Tariff - High tariffs hurt international trade, deepening the Depression.

d) Overproduction - Too many unsold goods meant job cuts, worsening the

economy.

e) Dust Bowl - The Dust Bowl caused huge farm losses, sparking migration

and changes in farming practices.

f) Boll Weevil - Boll weevil wrecked cotton crops, pushing Southern US

farmers to switch to other crops.
