Exercise 1
1. Think about the most memorable learning experience how was it (or how not) a
rich experience as define by Dale.
Dale felt that a rich experience would be “emotionally rewarding” and “motivate
[learners] for learning throughout their lives. For me, the most memorable experience
that I can say that it was some rich is experience is that when I did the Final
Demonstration in Math Subject. Because after that demonstration it was emotionally
rewarding. In that experience I learned a lot. I realize that it is true that if you put all your
efforts, time, and passion nothing is impossible. Before the demonstration I have no
idea on how to make it successful. That was the first time I do the demo. But by the help
of our Math Subject I come up with a plan and idea and start to make a preparation. I
put all my effort and my time to be sure that I can do it in a better way. After the demo I
got the positive feedback and comments even though there are some flaws and not
perfectly discuss the topic. Overall that was a great experience that help me to be better
and motivate me to the all I can in order to be successful. That experience made me
who I am today and why I am pursuing my dreams.
2. Describe an experience you have had that was emotionally rewarding and
motivated you to continue learning throughout your life.
We all have the experiences that make who we are today and why we are in this
path. As a student it is important for us the pass all the subjects we have and to have a
high grade. As a learner and student the experience that motivate me to continue
throughout my life is when I passed the battery exam. Battery exam is a requirement in
order for you to proceed to the next level or should I say to proceed second year college
in your chosen course. I was not expecting to be in the list of passers. Because I’m a
type of person who doesn’t have confidence and believe in myself. I am taking a BEEd
course and that is my dream to become an educator. And it was an honor that I made
the first level that will bring closer to my dream. When I knew that I passed I can say
that, that was emotionally rewarding. That was a rich experience for me because in that
incident I am now 3rd year college student and continue learning throughout my life.
3. Why does Dale suggest teachers balance their time providing concrete and
abstract teaching opportunities?
Teacher should balance their time providing concrete and abstract teaching.
Because as Dale Dale explained that the broad base of the cone illustrated the
importance of direct experience for effective communication and learning. Especially for
young children, real and concrete experiences are necessary to provide the foundation
of their permanent learning.
Exercise 2
1. Does being an expert in the field equate in a good teacher? (PCK). PCK has
come to be recognized as a crucial element of what teachers need to be effective
in the classroom.
Nowadays, technology has been part of teaching and learning process. With
countless online resources, technology can help improve teaching. Teachers can use
different apps or trusted online resources to enhance the traditional ways of teaching
and to keep students more engaged. Virtual lesson plans, grading software and online
assessments can help teachers save a lot time. This valuable time can be used for
working with students who are struggling. What is more, having virtual learning
environments in schools enhances collaboration and knowledge sharing between
teachers. But the question does teachers really need technological tools to be able to
become an effective teacher nowadays? For me the answer is no because in my
opinion effective teachers demonstrate a deep understanding of the curriculum. They
plan, teach, and assess to promote mastery for all students. Being an effective teacher
means allowing an environment that enables students to learn in the classroom to their
best abilities Effective teachers provide a respectful, positive, safe, and student-
centered environment. They pull with their colleagues to analyze data and plan for
effective and equitable instruction effective teacher makes good use of instructional time
and inspires students to do well and to know more. Each and every student in the class
has to feel comfortable and have the sense of belonging. The classroom has to be
conducive to learning and has the proper lighting so that learning easily takes place.
Teacher should be flexible to take control of any situation. Teachers are values-oriented
mentor. Technology is merely an augmentation to a teacher. It can help the process of
learning, and help teachers to the task easily but it doesn’t mean that through using
technology you become an effective teacher. It is still depending on your performance in
classroom.
Exercise 3.
1. Enumerate the 5’ps on how you utilize the technology, media, and
materials.
Preparing is very important especially in the field of teaching. Teachers need to plan,
create idea, and organize the lesson before the teaching- learning process. In preparing
a lesson materials are needed. In this modern times technology such as laptop and
projector are used for the presentation of the lesson. It is also important that before you
start the lesson make sure that the three will be no interruption caused by the materials
used. So that the whole lesson will be successful.
3. Prepare the Environment
Getting students to come to class prepared can be a challenge but is important for
making class time productive. Start with syllabus, inform the students what are the
topics that will be discuss and the objectives of every topic. Assess preparation early,
tell some expectations when it comes to assessment, activities, assignments, and
outputs. And explain what would be the essence and importance of the lessons.
Through the help of learning materials lesson will be effectively delivered. Activities
should be actively prepared and make sure that the student are enjoying while learning.
Assignments are already prepared and have the relationship to the topic or to the new
topic for introductory.
Analyze Learners
S- State Objectives
Duration: 40 - 45 Minutes
ANALYZE LEARNERS
Learners’ General Characteristics: The lesson is designed for 9th grade high school. This
is an in-class support class comprised of 15 males and 17 female students.
Entry competencies
Students obtain a clear understanding of the size and the other planets in our
solar system.
Learning Style
· Students obtain spatial (visual) intelligence where they have the ability to observe
their surroundings closely. This type of learner often tends to visualize whatever is being
taught to them and learns best by viewing things.
STATE OBJECTIVES

solar system.
Degree:
This lesson will be done in 45 minutes and 100% of the students will know the solar
system includes the Earth, the Moon, the Sun, eight other planets and their satellites,
and the smaller objects, such as asteroid and comets.

Teacher gains the class interest by playing the introductory video about living things/
organisms.
Teacher would engage students in a discussion to learn what the students know about
living things
Students will:
With the help of teacher students will identify planets by size, shape, color, features, in
position in the solar system.
Discuss the different characteristics of each planet in the solar system. The concept of
planetary orbit and the relationship between the earth, the sun, and the moon.
Student will create a brief summary about the similarities and differences of each planet.
Teacher would collect the worksheets and journal sheets to evaluate and record what
each student learns about the characteristics of the planets in the solar system.
