Steps for downloading, installing, and running

Cisco Packet Tracer software

1- Use the link below to enter you information, in order for me to create your Netacad
account:

2- Once your account is created an activation link will be sent to your email, go to your
email and click on the activate account button.

3- You will be directed to your profile page, and will be required to enter your new
password, then click Create my account.

4- You will be directed to the next page, enter the required information and then click on
Create Account

5- By completing the previous steps your account is created and you will be directed to the
main page of your Cisco Networking Academy account, or you can use following link and
login (www.netacad.com). From this page go to the Resources tab and then click on
Download Packet Tracer to download the software. Also, you can see that you were
enrolled in the Introduction to Packet Tracer course, you can launch this course to learn
about the Packet Tracer software.

6- Scroll down in the displayed page until you find the link to download Packet Tracer
8.2.0. Download the version that is compatible with your PC’s OS.

7- Double click on the downloaded file to launch the installer of the software. The installer
file looks as in the following figure.

8- From the appeared window click on Run.

9- Choose I accept the agreement option and then click on Next. After that, keep on
clicking on Next until the installation of the software is finished.

10- After the installation is completed, double click on the software’s icon to launch it. The
software’s icon looks as in the following figure.

11- After launching the software, the Cisco Packet Tracer Login page is displayed. From this
page, click on Cisco Networking Academy button.

12- You will be prompted to enter your email and then your password to login into the
software.

13- After login successfully, the main workspace of Packet Tracer is displayed and you can
start using the software.
