Jatropha is a perenial herb that folourishes across Africa and beyond. In Nigeria, jatropha is most
commonly known in Yoruba as Lapalapa, Hausa as Cinidazugu and Igbo as Wuluidu.
The Oil-rich plant is a very attractive feed stock for biofuels production. With approximately 58% lipids.

▪️Boil leaves with Syzygium guineese and Palm oil. Pour into cup and add milk. Take for (2wks) to treat
Diabetes.
▪️Crush the fresh leaves and apply to Wound/Snake bite, inflamed tongue. Leaves can also be dried,
powdered and apply to woud as anti-tatanus.
▪️Wash leaves, root bark and stem, boil for 30 minutes and drink twice daily to treat Gonorrhea,
Hypertension, Male fertility.
▪️Pound the leaves into poultice, spread into the affected area, allow for 20minutes and carefully clean
with a damp clothing for treatment of Rheumatism, Paralysis, Enzyma.
