MUSD Statement

Montebello Unified School District (MUSD) has no greater priority than the safety and
well-being of our students, and is committed to taking all necessary actions to ensure
that our students are educated in a safe environment. MUSD responds to each and
every reported act of misconduct very seriously. Consistent with District practices,
MUSD staff immediately contacted its Police Services Department and DCFS.

The MUSD Police Services Department initiated an investigation, and the

investigation has concluded. MUSD deems the complaints now closed as the matters
alleged were thoroughly and properly investigated, and same has been communicated
in writing to the subject parent.

Due to the privacy concerns related to the students involved, who are minors, MUSD
is legally prohibited from discussing any specifics of the allegations or the
investigation due to the restrictions surrounding student and family confidentiality.

MUSD has been proactive in aggressively responding to each and every concern raised
by the parent. MUSD has offered counseling and support services to our students, and
will continue to offer and provide counseling and support services to any students or
parents in need.
