Israel-Gaza War

Jews in Israel and Arabs in Palestine have contested ownership of the Temple Mount because
it is sacred for both parties. Jews remained barred from visiting the Temple Mount for 1000
years before the independence of Israel. At present, Israel claims to defend itself from Hamas
regardless of the violation of human rights.
Hamas is an Islamist militant group that has controlled Gaza since 2007. It launched a
surprise attack on Israel in October 2023 to stop Israeli aggression on Al-Aqsa Mosque. As a
result, it killed more than 1400 people and took dozens more as hostages. Therefore, it is
called a terrorist organization.
In response to Hamas, Israel Defense Forces launched an attack on Gaza regardless of the
lives of citizens. Consequently, it has killed more than 21,000 people, including women and
children. Therefore, it reacted indiscriminately.
On account of the Israel-Hamas conflict, the civilians are being killed and tortured. As of
December 22, 2023, 8000 children and 6,200 women died. The world is calling it the
genocide of Palestinians.
In conclusion, Israel and Hamas have been violating human rights and civil rights. Despite
blood-shedding, they should try to have a peace deal, and the Organization of Islamic
Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations should intervene.
