TOPIC: PALESTINE AND IS’REAL?

One of the longest-lasting and most divisive conflicts of the modern era resulted from the
intricate geopolitical, historical, and cultural web that weaves together the histories of Palestine
and Israel. The Zionist movement, which sought to provide the Jewish people with a national
homeland, first appeared in the late 19th century, and this is when the struggle first began.
British support for this cause was reflected in the 1917 Balfour Declaration, although it
conflicted with the goals of the Arab community in Palestine. Increased hostilities during the
British Mandate in the years that followed resulted in the UN partition plan of 1947 and the State
of Israel's establishment in 1948. Following the State of Israel's announcement on May 14, 1948,
Israel was invaded by Arab neighbors Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq. Israel gained control of
more area than was originally allotted by the UN partition plan after the war concluded in a
ceasefire in 1949. Israel was founded in 1948 on the remains of the Palestinian people.
With the planned ethnic cleansing of the 750,000 Palestinian residents of the area, it
became a state with a Jewish majority. Israel has preserved its security ever since by
military occupation, violent wars, governmental repression, and numerous killings of
civilians. After the creation of Israel in 1948, the region noticed a complex and often chaotic
history marked by conflicts between Israelis and Palestinians. The creation of Israel led to the
displacement of hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs, resulting in a refugee crisis that
persists to this day. In the years that followed, tensions escalated with subsequent conflicts, such
as the Suez Crisis of 1956 and the Six-Day War in 1967. The latter resulted in Israel gaining
control of the West Bank, East Jerusalem, the Gaza Strip, and the Golan Heights. These
territorial gains further intensified the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, as Palestinians sought freedom
of choice and the establishment of an open state. The long-standing problems between Israelis
and Palestinians were intended to be resolved by peace efforts, such as the Camp David Accords
in 1978 and the Oslo Accords in the 1990s, but advancement remained elusive. Peace talks
remained hindered by the ongoing development of Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East
Jerusalem.

At the beginning of the 21st century, there was a revival of violence, which included the Second
Intifada (2000–2005), which was marked by military operations, targeted killings, and suicide
bombings. Tensions have been heightened by the building of the Israeli West Bank obstacle
which the Palestinians viewed as a land grab and Israel as an act of protection. As a result of all
this again and again attacks and killing of innocent people, have forced the organizations in Gaza
to give a response to Israel. In the past recent years Israel has made good relations with Arab and
Gulf countries, and slowly they were accepting Israel as a country for their personal interests, so
israel know it that they will not stand in the front row to help them and hance has increased the

small attacks on them to force them to leave the Gaza completely to make their dreams of greater
Israel true. Organizations like Hamas and Hazbullah knows their planning and so made a plan to
try to stop their cruelty and make the world realize that it’s their own land from which they are
being forced to leave. On October 7, 2023, between 2-3,000 Palestinian fighters from various
political factions, including Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the DFLP (Democratic Front for
the Liberation of Palestine) and the PFLP (Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine) among
others, broke the 16-year-old siege of Gaza. They did this in an effort to start a war of freedom
from the burden of the Zionist entity (Israel) by unleashing an epic fight in the historically
significant Southern occupied territory of Palestine. As we approach the thirty-fifth day of the
conflict, the West as a whole has rapidly and with firmly lambasted the Palestinians in order to
defend Israel's right to self-defense. Identifying Hamas as the sole group spearheading the
conflict, the Western governing elites united to declare this important operation a "terrorist
operation" with Islamic influences. The Israeli government was able to make arrangements for a
ground invasion and bomb Gaza nonstop because of the image of Palestinians as Islamic
terrorists. The calls for "wiping Gaza out" and cutting off their electricity, gas, and water gained
unshakable backing from the West as a whole, while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
happily shared on Twitter/X the bombing of a civilian home in the Gaza Strip. In its dealings
with the Palestinians, Israel never takes a "eye for an eye" stance. Regarding its civilian
casualties relative to Palestinian civilian casualties, it believes on a ratio of 1 to 10 or 20. Hence,
independent of any moral or legal consideration, the Palestinian civilian must pay a tremendous
price in every conflict. Since Hamas launched a surprise onslaught on Israel on October 7,
hostilities have resulted in 11,078 Palestinian deaths, according to the Health Ministry in Hamas-
run Gaza. Since the start of the ground offensive, 41 Israeli troops have lost their lives in Gaza,
extending to the total number of deaths in Israel to over 1,400 mostly from the initial Hamas
attack. In this all Pakistan remains a staunch supporter of the proposal for the creation of an
independent Palestinian state, and in line with its pro-Palestinian doctrine, does not recognize the
State of Israel. Protests in favor of the Palestinians in Gaza and their essential human rights have
swept the region, with notable events taking place in Casablanca, Algiers, Tunis, Cairo, Amman,
Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad, and Manama. The Palestinians are facing an ongoing Israeli
military assault and horrific living conditions. However, greater murder and occupation cannot
be the solution in Gaza and throughout Palestine. Actually, in response to Hamas's horrific
strikes on October 7 in southern Israel, Israel has been slaughtering Palestinians on an industrial
scale and torturing them nationwide. This has been completely illegal and extremely stupid. For
the past 75 years, Israel has attempted to live by the sword, but all it has sowed is greater unrest,
disgrace, and rage. It is in fact foolish to keep using the same tactic and expect different
outcomes. Israel will eventually run out of life and future worth preserving in this Arab territory
if it continually denies the Palestinians both a life and a future.

“From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
