It comes from the Latin word dent or dens (Cambridge Dictionary, 2015). Use this word when
referring to damage to an object that is not a puncture, but merely an indentation on its
surface.
They fall into two categories, dents and gouges. With dents, the wood fibers are crushed, but
not torn or missing. Dents can often be steamed out. If the fibers are torn or missing, then that's
a gouge and you have to fill it.
Clean the area around the dent of oil, dirt and dust.
Select the wax stick that best matches the color of your floor.
Install the flat heating tip and ignite the micro torch.
Touch the wax stick to the torch tip and drip a small amount in to the dents
A check is a crack that occurs along the wood's growth rings. It does not extend through the
entire thickness of the board. You may notice that the corners of a board do not touch the ground
when the board is flat on a surface. Crook: A crook is a warp that happens along the edge of a
board.
It's frosty,

Checks are small and do not present a structural problem in the home. A crack, also often called
a split, is larger and more severe, often passing through the diameter of the log. These cracks are
often due to damage to the log itself, improper drying techniques, or structural loading.
The appearance of knots in sawn wood and veneer is caused by grain deviation to
accommodate the wood found inside the branches of trees. As the tree grows taller, the crown
shades older and lower branches so they tend to die off and are subsumed by the increasing girth
of the trunk.
A blemish is any type of mark, spot, discoloration, or flaw that appears on the skin. Blemishes
on the face may be unsightly and emotionally upsetting, but most are benign and not life-threatening.
Some blemishes, however, can signal skin cancer.
