COMPRESSED GASES
INTRODUCTION
Compressed gases, including Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), are used extensively on construction
sites and provide a valuable source of energy. Misuse, however, can result in fires, serious
accidents and injuries.
WHY?
To prevent injury: The uncontrolled release of compressed gas is harmful to persons standing
close by and to the surrounding environment.
To reduce the risk of fire: Wrongly used equipment or equipment used in inappropriate
environments can cause fire, injury and other losses.
