1. BACKGROUND
The 7𝑡ℎ International Student Conference on Management and
Business Studies (The 7𝑡ℎ ISCOMBUS) is one of a series of
international Management Festival events and in it there are two forms
of activities, namely the Business Model Canvas (BMC) competition
and a webinar held by (Management Student Association) HIMAMA
FEB UMY. ISCOMBUS itself is a place for students to express their
ideas in entrepreneurship.
In a dynamic and competitive economic era, business innovation
is the key to driving sustainable economic growth. Companies are
required to continuously adapt and create new value to remain relevant
in the market. However, innovation is not only the pursuit of excellence,
but must also consider sustainable aspects.
Therefore, this 7𝑡ℎ ISCOMBUS Management Festival is themed
"Strategic Business Innovation for Sustainable Economic Growth".
Industry 5.0 drives changes in the industrial world and changes in
consumer behavior that drive changes in the business world. One of
the factors that is key to the success of a business in the industry is
innovation. For a business that wants progress, development, and to
maintain its business in the future, business innovation is very
necessary for business. The importance of business innovation is so
that companies are able to survive and continue to develop following
the times faced with various business turmoil.
This theme reflects the spirit of positive transformation in the
business world, where innovation is integrated with strategy to create
a long-term positive impact. Participants are invited to explore and

analyze the implementation of smart and sustainable business
innovations, which not only improve the competitiveness of the
company, but also contribute to balanced and sustainable economic
growth.
Let's explore the incredible potential of innovative ideas that not
only drive businesses forward, but also create a positive impact in
building a sustainable future by joining the 7𝑡ℎ ISCOMBUS
competition.

4. PARTICIPANT TERMS & CONDITIONS


a. Participants are active students (D3 / D4 / S1) from universities
around the world, proven by scanned Student Identity Cards.
b. Participating teams are individuals or groups, consisting of 1-3
students with 1 student as team leader and the others as team
members (allowed from different majors and faculties but still within
the same university).

c. The submitted works are original works (original and not plagiarized
from other people's works) that have never been published and
have never won in other competitions.
d. Each group is only allowed to submit 1 of their best ideas with a
predetermined sub-theme.
e. Participants must follow the rules issued and made officially by The
7𝑡ℎ ISCOMBUS committee.

5. TERM OF WORK
a. The work is original and has never been competed in other similar
competitions as evidenced by a letter of originality (
https://bit.ly/Template_IBMCC ).
b. The work created must be in accordance with the themes and sub-
themes determined by the committee.
c. The content of the paper does not contain provocation,
pornography, discrimination, and SARA.
d. It is not allowed to include the name and/or university in each
participant's work.
e. Use English in each work submitted.
f. BMC works are submitted in PDF format with the naming format
(Team Name_Team Leader Name_University).

6. WRITING SYSTEMATICS
a. The paper is in landscape format.

b. Participants use the template provided by the committee
( https://bit.ly/Template_IBMCC ).
c. The BMC contains the 9 elements described in point 7.
d. BMC is collected in PDF format.
e. The proposals collected consisted of:
- Cover
- Business Profile
- BMC
- Biodata of Team Leader and Members
- Letter of Originality

7. ELEMENTS IN BMC
a. Customer Segments: Who are your customers? This could be a
single group or multiple groups.
b. Value Propositions: What value do you offer to your customers?
This could be a product, service, or experience that solves a
problem or meets a need.
c. Channels: How do you reach your customers? This could be
through direct sales, online channels, or partnerships.
d. Customer Relationships: What type of relationship do you have
with your customers? This could be transactional, self-service, or
community-based.
e. Revenue Streams: How do you generate revenue from your
customers? This could be through sales, subscriptions, or
advertising.

f. Key Resources: What resources do you need to create and deliver
your value proposition? This could be physical assets, intellectual
property, or financial resources.
g. Key Activities: What activities do you need to perform to create
and deliver your value proposition? This could be marketing, sales,
production, or customer service.
h. Key Partnerships: Who are your key partners? This could be
suppliers, distributors, or other businesses that you collaborate
with.
i. Cost Structure: What are your costs associated with running your
business? This could be fixed costs, variable costs, or economies
of scale.
