Scenario 1: On/Off-Grid PV+ESS Systems

MGCC

SmartPVMS
1. The PV+ESS system scenario supports only one
Inverters ≤ 30
Optimizer SmartLogger and one grid connection point. A maximum of
20 battery cabinets, 20 PCSs, 30 PV inverters and 115
Smart Power
Sensor
optimizers are supported. 200 kWh, 167 kWh, 129 kWh, and
400 V AC
97 kWh can be used together.

switch 2. The ESS has a charge/discharge rate of 0.5C~1C. ESS
Isolation
Power systems in parallel are connected to the LV power
transformer
X 20 distribution
equipment distribution network via a △/Y transformer (led through the
neutral line).
3. The M3, V5, and V5+ inverters support the off-grid PV+ESS
IMD
system. The inverters have the microgrid adaptation
Critical Common function, which can be enabled on the SmartLogger when
loads loads
ESS the inverters are off-grid.
4. The UPS supplies power to the monitoring system, including
SACU2000D
the SACU, microgrid central controller (MGCC), and internal
UPS monitoring system of the ESS, to ensure power supply
continuity for the monitoring system during system fault ride-
through and transient power outage.

Characteristics and Requirements

 In commercial and industrial (C&I) places where the power grid is weak or the power supply is unstable, off-grid PV+ESS systems supply power to important
loads in case of grid failure.
 Most loads are mainly three-phase loads such as lighting, air conditioners, elevators, and lifting equipment.
In addition to existing power distribution devices, PV, ESS, and power devices need to be added. Only one SmartLogger and one girder connection point are
supported.
 The microgrid can quickly restore power supply in case of grid failure to ensure power supply continuity and maximize self-consumption rate of the PV system.
 In off-grid mode, the ESS functions as the main power supply for surge, unbalanced, and non-linear loads, and the quality of energy meets the requirements.
