1. A 16 year old girl who complains of throbbing headache, accompanied by nausea, vomiting,
She gets such attacks of headache 1-2 times in a month. Diagnosis: acute attack of migraine.

Diagnosis: Acute attack of migraine.

(i) Tablet: NAPROXEN 500 mg ---- (5 Tablets)


Directions: Take one tablet orally immediately then half tablet orally 8 hourly till the
attack passes off.

(ii) Tablet: SUMATRIPTAN 50 mg ---- (2 Tablets)


Directions: Take one tablet orally immediately then repeat the same dose orally within
24 hours if required

(iii) Tablet: METOCLOPRAMIDE 10 mg ------ (6 Tablets)


Directions: Take one tablet orally three times a day before meal till the nausea and
vomiting relieved.

2. A 29 year old man working at a construction site had a bee sting. He was brought casuality
with complaints of light headedness, nausea, increasing weakness and difficulty in breathing.
On examination patient was diagnosed to have Anaphylactic shock

Diagnosis: Anaphylactic Shock

-Admit the patient in Intensive care unit.


- Humidified oxygen inhalation 2 litres / minute through nasal prongs.
(i) Inj. ADRENALINE 1mg/ ml --------- (5 Ampoules)
Directions: Inject 0.5 mg intramuscular immediately and repeat after 5 -10 minutes
according to blood pressure, pulse and respiratory function

(i) Inj. HYDROCORTISONE HEMISUCCINATE 100 mg / 2ml ----- (5 Vial)


Directions: 200 mg to be injected i.v. immediately, and repeat the dose if required

(iii) Inj. PHENIRAMINE 44.5mg/2ml --------- (2 Ampoules)


Directions: Inject 40mg intravenous slowly and repeat if required

(iv) Inj. DNS (5% Dextrose + 0.9% NS) 500ml -------(1 Infusion Bottle)
Directions: Infuse 500 ml intravenously slowly over the 4 hours.

during her periods. Diagnosis: Dysmenorrhea.

Directions: Take two tablets immediately followed by one tablet three times a day for 3 days.
