Some basic concepts
History : Record and interpretation of the human past: past
actions of human beings as well as factors which determined
or influenced those actions

Culture : Patterns of behaviour and thinking that people


living in social groups learn, create and share. Culture is
transmitted from generation to generation.

Civilization : An advanced stage in the development of


human culture. The advent of civilization is essentially
connected with urbanization.
