There are three kinds of ants in a colony; the queen, the female workers don't have wings.

Deforestation is clearing Earth’s forest on a massive scale, often resulting in damage to the
quality of the land. Forest still cover about 29 percent of the world’s land area, but they decrease
each and every year. The world’s rainforests could completely disappear in a hundred years if
deforestation continues.
Deforestation has many negative effects on the environment. First, the loss of habitat for
millions of species. Around sixty percent of Earth’s land animals and plants live in forest, and many
cannot survive the deforestation that destroys their homes. Second, deforestation can cause climate
change. Forest soils are moist, but without trees that can protect them from the sun’s ray, they can
quickly dry out. Furthermore, by returning water vapor back into the atmosphere, trees also help
maintain the water cycle. Many former forest lands can quickly become empty deserts if there are no
trees in the area.
Trees can blocks the sun’s ray during the day and hold in heat at night, removing them can
lead to more extreme temperatures. It can be harmful to plants and animals. Trees also play a critical
role in absorbing the greenhouse gases that fuel global warming. Fewer forests mean larger
amounts of greenhouse gases entering the atmosphere-and increased speed and severity of global
warming.
