Soil sampling and analysis can provide important information about the chemical and physical

conditions of soil in a particular location. It helps to determine the soil conditions and whether it is
solid enough for construction, as well as the properties of the building itself.
This laboratory activity was carried out to investigate the soil properties in. According to
observations, the moisture content of soil varies depending on its location and depth. Its location
changes as a result of weather and exposure to very moist land, such as farms. However, it has been
observed that as one digs deeper into the soil, the soil becomes dryer. This could be because the
water was absorbed before reaching the deeper soil layers.
Based on the observations, keeping the soil undisturbed and free of moisture is critical
because it will be used in a specific study and analysis of the soil's behavior beneath the surface,
which is why proper protection is required. Labeling them correctly is also important in this activity
because the data gathered, such as depth, location, date, and time, must be noted so that their
differences can be easily distinguished.
It is therefore concluded that the objectives were met and additional knowledge were gained
and will be used as a future reference in the field of civil engineering.
