200011119 Department of Mechanical & Production Engineering Mechanical Engineering Program Product Management means building,planning,and managing the activities governing the entire life cycle of a product.It revolves around the questions of 'what to build,"how to build,and 'how to position and price the product.It is an ongoing process that does not end with the launch of a product into the market. The success of any product depends on a number of factors,including the company, features, usability,and more. However,none of those factors amount to much if one doesn't have a robust product strategy to back a product. Many companies figure out the ideal solution to a problem and then make up the perfect product or service. However, what a lot of companies do wrong is that they don't work on their product strategy as much as they should. The key is to create an outstanding product strategy that will maximize product longevity, relevance,and success. Responsibilities as Product Manager: A key component of the Product Manager role is ensuring that the product supports the company’s overall strategy and goals. The Product Manager is responsible for delivering a differentiated product to market that addresses a market need and represents a viable business opportunity. Although the Product Manager is ultimately responsible for managing the product throughout its lifecycle – conception through end-of-life – they receive assistance throughout this process from specialists such as designers, developers, quality assurance engineers, supply chain and operations experts, manufacturing engineers, Product Marketing Managers, project managers, sales professionals, and more. Best way to Learning: Analytical thinking: Critical thinking skills are perhaps the most fundamental skills involved in making judgments and solving problems. You use them every day, and you can continue improving them.The ability to think critically about a matter to analyze a question, situation, or problem down to its most basic parts is what helps us evaluate the accuracy and truthfulness of statements, claims, and information we read and hear. Technical understanding: Technical writing is a crucial aspect of communication in various fields and industries. It involves the creation of clear, concise, and precise documentation that effectively conveys complex information to a specific audience. Handling pressure: Handling pressure from work well can help you relax and excel. It's important to understand how to reduce pressure from work so that it doesn't develop into severe work stress. Important Aspect after Graduation: First aspect would be to explore different career opportunities and then starting to learn and master different skills to increase possibilities of getting the best option. Another important decision would be to think out of the box and come out from comfort zone.
