"Enhancing Urban Sustainability: Optimization and

Implementation of Solar Street Lights"

Objectives:

Street dwellers often face safety and security risks due to inadequate lighting in urban areas.
Solar street lights provide illumination, making the streets safer at night and reducing the
vulnerability of homeless individuals to accidents, crime, and violence.

This research aims to investigate the effectiveness, efficiency, and practicality of integrating
solar street lights into urban environments.

Gap

Despite the growing interest in solar street lighting as a sustainable solution, there remains a
significant gap between the technological capabilities of solar lighting systems and their practical
implementation. Challenges such as initial costs, maintenance requirements, reliability concerns,
and compatibility with existing infrastructure often hinder the widespread adoption of solar street
lights.
Furthermore, there is a lack of comprehensive research addressing the specific needs and
constraints of urban environments, limiting the effectiveness of current solutions. This research
aims to bridge this gap by providing insights into the critical factors influencing the successful
deployment and long-term sustainability of solar street lighting systems in urban areas.
