UCI COACH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

The Coach Development Programme (CDP) is designed to provide coaches with the opportunity to study
and practice all aspects of coaching the cycling disciplines under the expert guidance
of the UCI World Cycling Centre (WCC) team.
The programme is designed to increase levels of knowledge and expertise in all areas of cycle coaching and
candidates will be exposed to more than one cycling discipline.

QUALIFICATION LEVELS The UCI CDP Level 1 online coaching course is the first step in the UCI WCC coaching pathway
(online format).
The UCI CDP Level 2 is aimed at new coaches who passed level 1 online, those working with
younger riders or developing athletes.
The UCI Level 3 (Diploma) is aimed at experienced coaches who will be working either with
their National Team or with National level riders. The candidate with a bachelor degree in Sport
and Sciences can join directly the level 3.
The Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) in Sport Cycling Coaching is a unique 4-month part-
time (presential and online) international continuing education program in cycling coaching,
which combines academic theory and practical application. In collaboration with Lausanne
university (UNIL) launched in 2022, it will take place each 2 years.
The exposure to athletes and the knowledge gained from both qualifications will allow each
coach to develop in multiple roles - from working with talent identification, developing young
riders through to elite level cyclists looking to compete at a world level.
The WCC can assist you in choosing the right level.

DATES & COSTS Coaching level 2 including mechanics level 1 and para-cycling classification course
certificate (if the candidate doesn’t have the UCI level 1, they will need to pass it before
arriving to the coaching course level 2, include in the price)

△ Price : CHF 2700.-

△ Dates : 7th to 17th November 2023
△ Price : CHF 2500.-

Level 3 Diploma
△ Dates : 7th to 29th March 2023 or 3rd to 25th October 2023
△ Price : CHF 5000.-

The courses are organised in presential in the UCI-WCC, Aigle, Switzerland.
