Form Tutor Comment

Arzu is a cheerful and engaging student. She is showing interest and enthusiasm for the things we do.
In English we have studied poetry, non-chronological reports and detective stories. Arzu has developed her writing style and is able to use all main features of the genres in question in her writing. She is
encouraged to participate actively as she has great ideas but does not always share them with the rest of class. She would benefit from focusing on handwriting and classwork presentation.
In maths Arzu has demonstrated some effort to improve her performance this term. It is worth mentioning that she has a good level of mathematical reasoning but she lacks experience in problem-solving,
which prevents her from being able to decide on and plan a problem specific strategy and apply it using a systematic approach. Arzu is advised to improve her performance by being more active and
revising the tasks on Google classroom.
In science we have not only covered living things in their environment and material changes units but also revised the KS2 curriculum for our Checkpoint examination. Arzu can classify materials as solid,
liquid, or gases, and illustrate the classification in a chart showing the properties of each material. She is able to explain how the food chain transfers energy. To challenge herself she can revise the
scientific processes that we have covered this term.
In humanities we have studied World War II and the Olympic Games this term. Arzu can explain life at home front in Britain. She knows the importance of propaganda during WWII to keep the nation¶s
morale high. Arzu has also learnt how the ancient games were different from the modern Olympic Games. She needs to take time to review the key ideas of each lesson independently. Arzu is a very
active and sociable student in Azerbaijani lessons. She needs to focus more during lessons and pay attention to directions the first time they are given. Arzu is a very engaged student who is always ready
to share her opinion and ideas.
Arzu enjoys French and she cooperates well with others, but I would like to hear her voice a little bit more. She struggles fulfilling basic classroom expectations such as raising her hand, listening to others,
not interrupting the teacher and her peers and following instructions. I suggest she focuses on grammar in order to improve her academic results. She would benefit from revising the following topics:
³Jobs´³Numbers´and ³Seasons and months´paying attention to both spelling and grammar.
Arzu listens to instructions and follows recommendations in art. She uses them carefully when drawing. Particular attention is paid to the correct placement of the dimensions in accordance with the
composition. Arzu can use colours and create a sense of space and perspective. She uses decorative methods. Arzu tries to make her drawings interesting and expressive.
This year in drama we have studied character analysis, staging, monologue presentation, public speaking and poetry elements. Arzu shows enthusiasm for classroom activities and has a flair for dramatic
reading and acting. She has dramatic ability and enjoys building a character.
This year in music we have studied transcribe music, Russian composers, orchestral instruments and from Azerbaijani music Tofik Guliyev and his musical works. This term we have learnt to compose the
melody. Arzu has a satisfactory understanding of the basic concepts. She is sometimes keen to share her ideas. In PE we have learnt a range of physical exercises online and team sports when onsite this
year. Arzu is beginning to use different techniques.
