1. How long have you known the applicant, and in what capacity?

Since 2022 when he became a student at the Federal Institute of Alagoas, when he was my student in the
agriculture class in the morning shift. being a great student compared to the rest of their classmates.

2. What are the applicant’s strengths (personal, academic, social)? Are there opportunities for
improvement?

Decision-making ability, Humility to listen, work in a Team and Proactivity. Yes, especially in activities that
require reflection.

3. Please comment on the applicant’s ability to interact with others and engage in an intercultural learning
environment. Do you believe that the applicant would succeed in a study abroad program?

Yes, as the candidate has the ability to interact with people regardless of color, creed, social class, sexual
orientation and academic background. being noticeable in interactions with other students from other
courses and with teachers and staff at the institution.

4. Please provide any additional comments you would like to share about the applicant.

The candidate is a young man who aspires to personal maturity, but also looks for ways to help his
community.

5. The AFS Global STEM Academies is a 16-week intercultural exchange full-scholarship program. Youth
from around the world come together in global cohorts to learn about sustainability, STEM, global
competence, and social impact, conducted in English. Participants complete a 12-week virtual exchange
program online, followed by a 4-week travel experience abroad.

Do you recommend the applicant for the AFS Global STEM Academies program? Why or why not?

Yes. Because the candidate can promote significant changes in the region where he lives, bringing new
practices and models that promote human emancipation and respect for the environment.
