ANALYSIS
Direction: Give your thoughts about the questions below in relation to the activity above.
Express your ideas using one paragraph per question. You may pass a typed document
or a hand written document.
1. What do you think is the association of these words in our discussion of social
dimensions of education?
I believe that the association of these words to our upcoming discussion of social
dimensions of education inclined with the words mentioned above would be the
theories or topics we will be discussing in order for us to understand better the
various social science theories.

2. How are theories important in discussing social dimensions of education?

As a future educator, learning the sociological perspective of education is vital for
me to understand the relationship between the sociological theories and our current
educational system. In this way, I would be able to perform effective teaching for my
future students.
3. Can you recall one social institution in any of your social science subjects
before? Describe its function in the society.
I can still recall the basic unit of our society which is “family” wherein it functions as
the first socialization for the youth and provides as an environment for self-concept
growth.

4. Why do you think education changes? Do you know of any factors

contributing such change?
As the development of our world changes, so does our education. There are several
factors that points to the need for change in education (as a system), one of it is our
world being introduced to technology. Therefore, I’m certain that education changes
throughout time for the new learners to be accustomed and accommodated since
the world is always changing.
