following events:

• Crew Coaching - Before every SZN, Crew Coaching is an
important training to get new Crew Leaders ready for the SZN
• Crew Fair - Crew Fair is an opportunity for us to get people
plugged into Crews and to build excitement about the Crew
SZN. It happens once a SZN on a Sunday, after each service.
• Crew Catch Up - Our mid-SZN gathering. This special night
is designed for us to celebrate all God has done in our
community. It’s a night filled with purpose, honor, vision, and

Tips to facilitate a
good Crew discussion:
• Review Crew Guide before Crew
• Assign Building Blocks to lead part of the
discussion
• Ask open-ended questions to encourage full
participation
• Utilize the alternate questions to help to push
conversations further along
• Avoid doing all the talking! A good guideline

4 SECRETS TO
STAYING POWER
Leading a Crew, you not only need starting power but
staying power.
MAKE A COMMITMENT
Making a commitment daily makes our choices simple. If
we commit to staying fit, the choice to work out becomes
an automatic yes. It’s the same for leading Crew. We get to
recommit to community daily. When we commit, we won’t
quit.
Crew Handbook

FIND TIME FOR REFRESHING
Even marathon runners pause to refuel during a race. In
order for us to pour out, we must be refreshed by the one
who restores our soul, Jesus. Let’s be leaders who make
time to be in the presence of Jesus daily.
46
47
COMMUNICATE BEFORE YOU QUIT
When you leave, you have a gap to fill. At VOUS, we aren’t
leaders that give up, but leaders that build up.
THANK
Leaders are self-aware. Check in with yourself daily and
take ownership of whether you need to recommit, refresh, or
communicate.
