MEET THE

STUDENT
TEACHER
MISS GABI MORTON
About me:
Hello, Mrs. Peardot’s 1st grade class! My name is Gabi Morton and I am a senior at
Colorado State University studying Early Childhood Education and American Sign
Language. I was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. I have wanted to become
a teacher since I was in the 4th grade when my teacher helped me have a
breakthrough moment with my literacy development. I have a passion for working
with students with disabilities, and I hope to use ASL in my future classroom to aid
students learning. My goals in student teaching are to build a strong community
and learn how to be the best teacher I can be. I am so excited to work with the
students and learn as much from them as I hope they will learn from me.

When I’m not teaching, I love to
read and snuggle with my cat. I gmorton@psdschools.org
like to go hiking and play
volleyball with my friends. I can
be also found at home crafting
or sewing.
