Lily’s Shadow

Lily’s shadow helps her know what time of day it is. In the morning and afternoon, Lily’s
shadow is long because the sun is low in the sky. At noon, Lily’s shadow is short because
the sun is high in the sky. Lily’s shadow can also tell her directions. At noon, her shadow
points north. Write “N” on the compass to show which way is north.
