This document discusses ecological and environmental management. It covers three main topics: the interaction between society and nature as a system where nature is the foundation of our lives; the interrelation between the natural environment and human health, with pollution able to cause diseases; and the global nature of environmental problems that affect the entire planet and all people due to issues like climate change, deforestation, pollution, and oil spills.

Direction: Read and the understand the following statement and
explain.
1. The interaction of society and nature as a system.
Nature and Society research aims to better understand society's attitudes and behaviors in relation to how we maintain, conserve, and enhance natural and cultural resources. We must value nature since it is the foundation of our economy, society, and indeed our very life.
2. Interrelation of the natural environment and human health.
Pollutants in the environment can cause respiratory disorders, heart disease, and some types of cancer. Human health and well-being are inextricably related to environmental conditions. Clean air and water, fertile land for food production, and energy and material inputs for production are all provided by high-quality natural surroundings.
3. The global nature of environmental problems
Global issues aren't merely major issues or issues that touch a large number of people. Instead, they are issues that affect the entire planet, as well as all of the people who live on it. Climate change is one obvious example that comes to mind right away. Many people have witnessed the effects of human activities on the environment, such as deforestation, air pollution, acid precipitation, and oil spills, which have become all too common.
