Parents are blessing from God. Therefore, they should be loved and appreciated.

In this story, we will see how much love a child has for his parents.

Mark Justin is a Grade Eleven student at Rosario Integrated School. His mother is

a vegetable vendor, while his father is a tricycle driver. They live a humble life and experience

challenges. Growing up, he became aware of hardships in life and how difficult it is to earn a

living. With high hopes and determination that someday they will overcome the challenges that

their family is going through. His parents are hardworking people. He helps his mother in selling

vegetables and fruits after his morning class. His parents work tirelessly all day so they can pro-

vide for their family. He and his sister do some of the house chores to help their parents be relie-

ved of work. In order to help his parents, he took a part time job as a fruit and vegetables sales

person in his Uncle Joey's store. He goes to work every Saturday and Sunday. He works so he

can help his parents to help lessen their financial burdens. Now that he is working part time, he

no longer depends on his parents for his "baon" or pocket money daily and other school expenses.

Knowing the challenges of his parents to earn for their daily living, seeing them tired and sometim-

es exhausted makes him feel sad and sorry for them. He onve said to himself, "if only they had been

rich, they would not have experienced the hardship of working". He desires for his parents to experi-

ence a good life. He will do everything to make them happy. He promised to himself that he would

study hard and finished it, so that when he finds a stable job, he will make his parents retire from

work and provide a comfortable life.

He is grateful to them because without them, he would not be here. He qoutes " Even

in my last breath I will tell them, "Thank you, and I love you every much.
