Every life has it's own history. We have our own endeavors and it depends on how we
overcome the different situations that are coming into our life. I am the author of my own
story, I have my own journey and it began in the day I was born.
I am Leslie Martinez, 22 years old, I was born and currently living at Zone 1 Blk.7
Surallah, South Cotabato, born on the 21 st of June, 1999. I am the second among the
four siblings, I love singing, cooking and music. Now this is my story, My parents were
not professionals but I'm proud to say that they are really responsible and they are
striving harder to make me and my three siblings go to school. They have a business,
just a small one , they sell assorted tires, bearings and etc. We live a simple life and I
believe that my parents we're a biggest part of my journey especially on my success
and I’m doing my best even in the midst of this pandemic to finish my studies because
of them. I really want to give them a better life in the future, I want to give them the
things that they wanted and the things that they prayed for.
Since the pandemic began, we thank God for the continuous blessings and for providing
as the food we need and the things we need, I can say that even in the midst of this
trials God has never leave us, he’s a good provider and I’m so glad that this trial doesn’t
just bring as negative things but also positive things like, having a new home, having a
strong family bond and having more blessings to come. As a student I found online
class difficult because most of the time, we don’t really have a good signal and internet
connection here in my place, sometimes I cant attend my classes because of that
certain reason and my other concern is that, I cant participate in the class as better as in
the face to face classes.
This pandemic taught me many lessons in life, one of them is to become helpful to
others in need, I became more prayerful and my urge to finish my studies became
deeper because of the situation right now, it’s hard to live while you have nothing so I’m
striving to become something someday, not just for my parents but also for my future
family. My mind became open to the reality and to the things that I really want to
achieve someday.In this lesson I expect to learn many things, I hope it can help me
build my future, I wish having lessons where I can get something and of course, I hope I
have a good professor.
