SPEAKINH TEST

In my opinion, just one important conversation can change a person's life and my
life changed when I had a casual conversation with my teacher two years ago. At
that time, I was having a hard time choosing the right career for me. My parents
wanted me to study pedagogy according to their profession, but I felt that I was
not suitable for that profession because I was quite shy. I told him that, after
thinking for a while he said: "Be yourself, the job you choose will be the job that
sticks with you for the rest of your life, so choose a career that you like" After that
I chose accounting and until now I feel very happy that I have chosen the right
career for myself.

Part 2: Take your side. Discuss this topic with your partner in 1 minutes.
To have a successful conversation, it is important that the two speakers share
the same opinions on what they are discussing. To what extent do you agree or
disagree? Give reasons and examples to support your view.
S: hey , What do you think about the view:”To have a successful conversation, it is
important that the two speakers share the same opinions on what they are
discussing”.

T:I absolutely agree with your point of view because In a conversation, when we
share the same idea, we feel closer and more at ease than when we debate two
opposing viewpoints. We will both have a fruitful talk once we can feel each
other's harmony. thus I wholeheartedly concur( hô hợt đẹt lì kèn cơ ) with that
point of view. What about you?

S: I disagree because, each person has different experiences and perceptions in

different contexts, so it is not always the same. When we have different points of
view, we will have more perspectives, making the conversation less boring.
However, if we have many opinions, we will have more ideas in a discuss.

T: I understand what you mean, and I think as long as the conversation makes two
people feel comfortable, happy and receives the highest agreement, it is a
successful conversation!

S: Yeah I partly agree with you but I also keep my opinion. I have my view and
you have yours.

I've had a lot of luck in my life, but what I feel most fortunate is when I get
helpful advice from my teacher about a career that I love. At that time, it was
difficult for me to choose the right career for me. My parents wanted me to
study pedagogy but I felt like I was not suitable for that field because I was
quite shy. I told him that, after thinking for a while, he said: "Just be yourself,
the job you choose will be the job you will stick with for the rest of your life, so
choose a career that you love. I think it doesn't matter what job you do, as
long as it's quiet and makes you comfortable and happy is enough. " Then I
chose to account and until now I feel very happy and feel very lucky because
thanks to that talk I have chosen the right career for me.

When people succeed, it is entirely because of hard work. Luck has nothing to
do with their success. To what extent do you agree or disagree with the
statement? Give reasons and examples to support your view.

S: hey , What do you think about the view:"When people succeed, it is entirely
because of hard work. Luck has nothing to do with their success.”

T: From my perspective, I agree with the view that success comes from
diligence(ˈdiləjəns)

Firstly, if you want to be good at something, you must prepare carefully and
regularly. For example, when you have a test and you want to pass with flying
colors, you must prepare well for it. Moreover, if you want a good job, you must
have a lot of knowledge and experience to work better. Second, luck contributes
only a small part to our success. Many people blame luck when they can't get what
they want. They think that being unlucky is the reason for their failure But if they
work hard, they can achieve what they want. What about u?

S: In my opinion, luck also plays a role in success. As you can see, Bill Gate, I
don’t reject his hard work; however, he also has the luck to achieve success. The
evidence is that his mom and dad also are both high-ranking people in society and
before he dropped out, he was a student at Harvard University. It is Harvard, the
best university in the world. So I think we shouldn't deny that luck in his success.
In addition, those who work hard, more opportunities and luck will also come, so
they are more likely to succeed.

When I was a kid, I was afraid to go to the hospital because I was very shy
and afraid of pain. However, after a visit to Gia Dinh hospital, I was no longer
afraid to go there. At that time, because I ate a lot of candy, I had a toothache
on the right side, the tooth made me feel uncomfortable so I had to go to the
doctor. At first, I was very scared, but when I met Dr. Nam, who examined me,
that fear disappeared. The doctor comforted me and his gesture was very
gentle. After the extraction, I did not have any pain or cry, I also received
many useful tips from the doctor on how to take care of my teeth. Thanks to
that encounter, then on I was no longer afraid of going to the hospital

Some people claim that prevention is better than cure. To what extent do you
agree or disagree with this claim? Give reasons and examples to support your
view.
S: hey Tu, What do you think about the view:”Some people claim that
prevention is better than cure.”

T: Obviously, there is no doubt about "Prevention is better than cure( kyo͝ or)". In
fact, prevention is cheaper as well. Preventing future diseases and complications
from current problems is vital to the healthcare systems' long-term viability. And
the important thing is if you have good prevention and protect yourself from
illness, you can help people around you.

S: Me too, In my opinion, I have always believed that prevention is better than

cure.
For example, during the recent covid epidemic, our country made efforts to prevent
infection through the period of social distancing to protect and prevent infection.
The result is one of the countries least affected by Covid. On the other hand, if we
prevent diseases well, we will happily live every day rather than being subjective
and lying on the hospital bed

T: I am happy that we have the same point of view. I hope we get through covid
and and return to daily life soon.
