Let’s Try This Suggested Time Allotment: 15 Minutes


Try to remember that last time you felt valued by others and the way you made others felt valued.
Identify the incidents, your thoughts or ideas about the situations, your feelings and your behavior or
action. Use the templates below to encapsulate those moments:
The last time I felt valued
Incident : It is when my friends helped to finish my school works when I was sick.
Thoughts: I thought I was going to fail.
Feelings: I feel lucky because my friends are so nice that they didn’t let me fail.
Behavior: I feel nervous because of my dreams but still thankful to them.
The last time I made others felt valued
Incident : When someone tells me her secret because she says that she trust me so much.
Thoughts: I never expect that someone will trust me that way because I don’t trust myself also.
Feelings: I’m glad that there is someone will trust you even though you can’t even trust yourself.
Behavior: I am trustworthy.

Processing Questions:
1. Did you find it difficult/easy to answer? Why?
It was easy because I also experienced being appreciated by a person.
2. What do you notice with your answers?
I noticed that lack of confidence will never help you to success and if you feel unreliable there is
always a person that will trust you the way you trust them even though it is only one person.
3. What is your reaction upon seeing all your answers?
I am glad to answer the questions that made feel precious things once in a lifetime.
MIRROR MIRROR ON THE WALL
Think of a person whom you want to talk to (can be friend, teacher, guidance counselor, brother,
sister or cousin, parent or guardian). Write his/her name separately on a 1/4 size paper using a
permanent marker or a pen. Face the mirror, post the name of your chosen person on the mirror.
Imagine that that person is facing you. Talk to yourself in the mirror and to the person you chose
guided by the following instructions
Instructions: Imagine that you are looking at the mirror, and from the mirror you see yourself. Please
talk to yourself and say that
I am proud of you because you are successful person. You should be happy with me because I’m your
admirer. You should be happy with me because I’m a good nephew. You should be happy with me
because I’m good sister. You should be proud of me because I’m am a hardworking child.
Answer the processing questions on a separate clean paper. Make sure to write your name, title of the
worksheet as the heading of the activity and compile it in your portfolio.

1. How did you find the activity?
I found the activity easy.
2. How do you feel about talking to yourself? Your friends? Teachers? Family?
I feel myself that “this is me” and I’m proud of it.
3. What have you discovered about yourself during your self-talk?
Talking to yourself doesn't always mean you're crazy it is just how to express yourself.
4. How is the activity helping you enhance your self-worth?
It helps me to be more confident and trust myself more.

Self-affirmation Exercise
1. My proudest moment was, when I graduated junior high school.
2. My strengths are my parents.
3. My source of joy is my siblings and achievements.
4. My friends really appreciate me as I am.
5. I can overcome all the challenges in life because I trust God’s plan and I believe in myself more.
6. I will reach my dreams because I will do my very best to reach it no matter what happens, I will
never stop chasing my dreams.
What I have Learn

Think of our current crisis (Covid-19 Pandemic) situation. Recall a moment where you have done
something that you felt confident and your sense of self-worth is high. What can you say to yourself in
that situation? What have you done? Write your answers on a sheet of paper.
Nowadays, children are not allowed to go outside and go to school. Now, I can help my mom on
household activities. The expenses reduced because we are just in our home because when there is no
pandemic me and my siblings are always going outside and eat, but now my parents can save more
money and I can help my mother to take care of my little brother.

1. What positive statement would you say to yourself to be reminded of your strengths and values?
If you feel exhausted learn to take a rest and fight again.
2. How will you deal with life obstacles or negative feelings?
Sometimes when I am tired I feel that I can’t do it and I want to give up, but I cry it to feel better after
and to release the heavy feeling. After that, I will continue pursuing my dreams and to be more
strong to face the challenges.
3. What would you do to empower yourself?
I can help empowering myself by cutting toxic people in my life, believing myself more that I can do
it, prioritizing my dreams, and enjoying what I am doing now.
4. What are your realizations as to your capability in handling and surviving the current health crisis
right now?
I realized that I should be more careful and follow all the protocols. Although I am not ready for this
pandemic I am not prepared and I didn’t expect that this will happen. I realized that health matters
most.
