Author’s note
Ever wondered which font to use in your projects? If yes, then this book is yours to
keep. Along with me, we shall explore all the fonts in MS Word. This book has all the
fonts with different font sizes. I shall rank the fonts according to their styles, appearance
and usage for your reference.
Most authors write big notes about their book. I don’t see the point in this. This is a
reference book so the reader will (or as I hope) will fill my notes about this book in
his/her mind. So much for the author’s note.
Happy referencing!

Fonts
Agency FB-

Aaaaaaaaa aaaa
This font is much better in writing detective comics due to its mysterious and dominating style.

Algerian-

Aaaaaaaaa aaaa
Don’t use this text. It is too ugly for projects and marks stuff. It is used by local PowerPoint
makers for ‘domination of presentation’. Plus, you only get capitals.

Arial-

Aaaaaaaaa aaa

This text can be used if you fear hackers as it is a web-safe font. It is too plain for attractiveness.
Arial Black-

Aaaaaaaaa aaaa

Do not use this font. It is very bold. This is the group of the Arial family of fonts.

Arial Narrow-

Aaaaaaaaaa aaa

You can use this if you like Arial. It is close to the Arial font.

Arial Rounded MT Bold-

Aaaaaaaa aaaa
This is like a kid’s font. I remember having blocks made of this font for learning alphabets in
preschool.

Aaaaaaaaa aaa

This is a recommended font for projects from my side. I got 5 on 5 for using this font in my
school project and presentations. Choose this if Calibri is not your choice.

This is too ugly for anything at all.

Bauhaus 93-

This is much bolder version of Berlin Sans FB.

I have seen this font used in stenciling programs like Save Fishes etc. Otherwise too aggressive.

Blackadder ITC-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

I think this style of writing is used in calligraphy. I’m not that sure on this. It is a pretty old font.

Bodoni MT-
Aaaaaaaa aa a

I see no particular difference in this and Bell MT. The only difference is that larger fonts of this
have broad sleeping lines. Probably.

Bodoni MT Black-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
A much bolder version of Bodoni MT. Not preferable for anything in general.

Bodoni MT Condensed-

Aaaaaaaa a aa

Super-condensed font. Do not use.

Aaaaaaaa aaa
Looks like a Victorian-era font. Less preferable in my view.

 
I cannot explain this explicit font. You can use this for writing secret codes and then convert it in
English in Word.

Best for writing hand-written diaries in Word.

Britannic Bold-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
Too bold and too ugly.

Britannica Unicode Sans-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
Looks plain yet attractive.

Some alphabets are unrecognizable in this font style. It was used in document headings earlier.

Aaaaaaaa aaa

It is the default font whenever you open a Office application. Looks plain and not that attractive.
Clean and neat, many people who start designing documents use this a starter tool.

Aaaaaaaa aaa
No difference in this and Cambria. I had been checking this similarity for 2 days.

Candara-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

A good replacement of Calibri and Avenir LT Pro.

Candara Light-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

If you use Candara as your heading font, use this as your body font. But, it is too light for using
in light themed presentations for your project.

Castellar-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
DO NOT USE THIS UGLY FONT! This font converts everything into capitals and takes a lot of space
in your project. If you use this, you will get 2/5 in your project (even if your content is correct).

This font is good but it minifies things. So, use this at a high font size for headings.

Aaaaaaaa a aa
Moderate font in my opinion. Usage at owner’s risk.

Aaaaaaaa aaa

Good font for writing haunted books. Use them as title fonts only. Usage in body text would be
un-pretty.

Aaaaaaaa aaa

If you study in lower classes, this may help to till class 5.

code effect. Similar to Monospace.

Constantia-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
Use this font at your own choice.

Copper Black-

Aaaaaaaa a aa
DO NOT USE THIS FONT! Very ugly font. I used to have an alphabet set with this font. Horrible
experience in fitting those words.

Copperplate Gothic Bold-

Aaaaaaaa a aa
Nice font for headings but use it in a professional way. Like this: Copper. So first, use a
big font size and then use a small font size.

writing now.

Use this as your body font if Corbel is your heading style.

Courier New-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

I cannot see anything ‘new’ in this font. Use it for an old timey effect.

Use this as an old timey typewriter heading font. Also if you use Courier ‘New’ as your body text,
use this as a heading.

Curlz MT-
Aaaaaaaa aaa

If you are a girl-book author and are writing on the topic of magic, use this. Other than that, I
cannot find any uses of this font.

Dante-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

I use this mainly for writing documents on ancient people. You can find your use of this font.

Dubai-

Aaaaaaaa aaa

I think this is an option for typing in Urdu or Arabic. Please let me know whether this is one of
the two. I apologize for not recognizing the language. On the other side, you can use this font for
headings. Plus, I will be talking of English use only. On the downside, it uses a lot of margin
space.

This can be used as a body text for the Dubai font if you don’t mind the line spacings.

Aaaaaaaa aaa

This can be used as a bold version for Dubai. Ideal for headings.

It is a sort-of a squeezed font. Use it at your wish.

No offense, this font is as fat and bold as an elephant.

Aaaaaaaa a aa
I now think that Exo 2 Extra Light, Eras Light ITC and Exo 2 Thin are best friends.

Felix Titling-

Aaaaaaaa a aa
Frankly speaking, I never saw this font in both Word and in real life. You can use it to write
fancy brands in ads.

Footlight MT Light-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
I won’t say much on this. Just that this font will not fit the writer’s requirements.

Forte-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
On Scratch 3.0, this font used in the font option “Marker”. It looks good to be used in animated
whiteboard videos.
Franklin Gothic Book-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
Very ugly font. Full stop. It is used in Foundation Books to bore students.

Franklin Gothic Demi-

Aaaaaaaa aaa
A lot uglier than the previous font. I think this was used in the websites made in 1998-2011.
