Proposed Topic of Research:

-------

Objectives of the Proposed Research:

1. Background of the Proposed Research

Introduction

2. Literature Survey:-
Initial stents from the 1980s and 1990s were primarily bare-metal stents (BMS)
composed of stainless steel (SS) or cobalt-chromium (CoCr) alloys typically.

3. Literature Summary & Research Gaps

 3D Printing is an additive manufacturing technique to fabricate 3D components. It

possesses advantages like a manufacturing of wide range of intricate and complex
shapes and geometries, printing parts, and tools directly on-site and only when needed,
no waste, no occupational safety necessary, reduced costs, and suitable for private use,
micro-manufacturing, which compel it to be used for biomedical applications.

4. Objectives of the Proposed Research:-

The proposed research aims to be:

1. To manufacture precise dimensional prototypes in bio-engineering applications such as

cardiovascular stent using 3D Printing.

2. To study

5. Work Plan:-
Phase 1: Literature review and Analysis:

Phase2: Procurement of equipment and consumables

Phase3: Experimental Study (Preliminary Experimentations)

Phase4: Re-experiment (main experiment) and Characterization of the results

Phase 5: Analysis and Evaluation of the results of the main experiment

Phase 6: Publications & Thesis Writing
