INTRODUCTION OF THE RESEARCH

Background of the Study

ICT, or Information and Communication Technology, encompasses a vast

lexicon of technical terms and acronyms integral to our digital landscape. These

terms serve as the foundation for understanding the intricacies of this field. Notable

among them are "hardware," denoting the tangible components of computing

devices, and "software," referring to the applications and programs that run on

these devices. The "internet" is a global network linking countless computers, while

"cybersecurity" entails safeguarding these systems from threats. "Cloud computing"

involves the delivery of computing services over the internet, and "Big Data"

addresses the management and analysis of vast data sets. "AI" focuses on imbuing

machines with human-like intelligence, and "IoT" pertains to the interconnection of

everyday objects with the internet. Meanwhile, "VoIP" enables voice

communication online, and "VPN" ensures secure and private internet usage.

"API," or Application Programming Interface, facilitates communication between

software applications, and the domain of cybersecurity introduces terminology

related to ethical hacking and digital defense strategies.

Digital technology in our daily lives has significantly transformed the way we

live, work, and learn. In an era where technology is everywhere, it has become

Many interactive dictionary apps employ gamified elements like quizzes,

badges, and leaderboards to make learning engaging and track progress.

Personalization features such as customized vocabulary lists and adaptive learning

algorithms optimize the learning experience for individual needs (Yang & Chen,
