Chapter 1

Wherever I go, its always there. It’s like they are following me everywhere, even at this time. I’m
surrounded by couples! “Ugh.” I groaned as I stretched my arms in bed, all I remembered was that I
drank all night crying about my job. As I was about to get up, I saw a beautiful gold brown hair beside
me. I was about to shout when its body moved and I got a much closer look at its face. “Oh Amelia,
what did you this time again??” I murmured to myself.

Wherever I go, it's always there. It's like they are following me everywhere, even at this time. I'm
surrounded by couples! "Ugh." I groaned as I stretched my arms in bed, all I remembered was that I
drank all night crying about my job. As I was about to get up, I saw a beautiful gold brown hair beside
me. I was about to shout when its body moved and I got a much closer look at its face. "Oh Amelia, what
did you do this time again?" I murmured to myself.

As the fog of sleep slowly lifted from my mind, flashes of the previous night started coming back
to me. The noisy bar, the clinking of glasses, and the tears streaming down my face as I drowned my
sorrows in alcohol. But amidst the chaos, I remembered meeting someone—a stranger with kind eyes
and a comforting smile. Could this be them?

With a mix of confusion and curiosity, I studied the sleeping figure beside me. Amelia—a name
that triggered memories of laughter and shared stories from the night before. But beyond that, she was
still a mystery. How did she end up in my bed? And why did I feel a strange sense of comfort in her
presence?

Carefully, I untangled myself from the sheets and tiptoed out of the room, not wanting to disturb
Amelia's peaceful slumber. As I made my way to the kitchen, I tried to piece together the events of the
night before. Fragments of conversations and blurry images flashed through my mind, but the details
remained elusive.

In the kitchen, I found a note hastily scrawled on the countertop. "Thanks for the company and
the shoulder to cry on. I'll make breakfast—Amelia." Reading the note, a wave of gratitude washed over
me. Despite the haze of alcohol and emotion, Amelia had been there for me when I needed someone
the most.

As the aroma of coffee and sizzling bacon filled the air, I returned to the bedroom to find Amelia
awake, a shy smile playing on her lips. "Good morning," she greeted softly. "I hope you don't mind, I took
the liberty of making breakfast." I shook my head, unable to suppress a grateful smile. "Not at all. Thank
you, Amelia."

Sitting down at the table, we shared a meal in comfortable silence. With each passing moment,
the awkwardness of waking up to a stranger faded away, replaced by a sense of camaraderie and mutual
understanding. It was as if we had known each other for much longer than just one night.
As we ate, Amelia gently prodded me to share what had been troubling me the night before.
Reluctantly, I opened up about my struggles at work and the overwhelming sense of uncertainty that had
been weighing on my mind. To my surprise, Amelia listened attentively, offering words of encouragement
and support.

Through our conversation, I began to see my problems in a new light. With Amelia's guidance, I
realized that I wasn't alone in facing challenges, and that sometimes, it takes a stranger to offer a fresh
perspective on life. As we finished our meal, I felt a renewed sense of hope and determination stirring
within me.

As the morning sun streamed through the window, casting a warm glow over the room, I made a
decision—to embrace the unknown and face the challenges ahead with courage and resilience. With
Amelia by my side, I felt confident that no matter what the future held, I would be able to weather the
storm.

As the morning drew to a close, it was time for Amelia to leave. With a lingering hug and
promises to stay in touch, we parted ways, our brief encounter leaving an indelible mark on both our
lives. As I watched her disappear down the street, I couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the
stranger who had become a friend.
