Product Description
A mica slip plane for induction furnace coil
COIL PROTECT 040 W is a flexible mica slip plane reinforced with a woven glass layer. It serves
as a protective interface between the induction furnace coil and refractory body lining which
allows the lining to expand and contract upon heating and cooling. The COIL PROTECT range is
designed for all induction furnaces applications.

Application Before any application, the integrity of coil

grout should be verified and repaired if
needed with SUREBOND COILCOTE (please
refer to the relevant data sheet).

COIL PROTECT should be applied to the coil

group in 1 layer. It is applied on the vertical
area of the coil. Glue and tighten the mica
layer to the coil grout to avoid any air gap. A
smooth surface is needed. Butt join the slip
pane vertically with Duct tape. Secure the
mica slip plane to the top of furnace with
tape. Installation procedure of the refractory
can start. Please refer to the relevant
KELLUNDITE data sheet.

Packaging Individual cartons box or full pallets of shrink-wrapped cartons boxes.

Storage & Shelf Life Must be stored on pallets in a dry location, out of direct sunlight. Shelf life is 1 year.
