Students will be able to describe the taste of food in English (sweet, sour, salty, bitter). Students will be able to say what they like and don't like to eat in English. Students will be able to participate in games and activities about food. Students will be able to communicate with classmates in English. Students will be able to write a short paragraph about their favorite food. Materials: Pictures of food Flashcards Worksheets Markers Paper Procedure: 1. Warm-up (5 minutes) Greet the students and introduce the topic of the lesson. Review the previous lesson's vocabulary. Play a warm-up game, such as "Simon Says" or "What's the Word?". 2. Introduction of new vocabulary (10 minutes) Vocabulary questions: What fruits and vegetables do you know? What food do you eat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner? What sweets do you like? What dishes would you like to try? What foods are healthy and what foods are unhealthy? Show the students pictures of food and ask them to name the food in English.
Repeat the names of the food with the students,
Play a game, such as "Bingo" or "Matching", to practice the new vocabulary.
3. Practice (10 minutes)
Have the students work in pairs or small groups to complete activities, such as: o Sorting pictures of food into categories o Describing the taste of food o Asking and answering questions about food o Making simple sentences about food 4. Game (5 minutes) Play a game, «I Spy» 5. Writing activity (5 minutes) Have the students write a short paragraph about their favorite food. They should include the following information: o The name of the food o What it looks like o What it tastes like o Why they like it
6. Homework. Create a plate of your favorite food.
