PORTFOLIO 26: ASSESSMENT PROFILE

Summarize what you have learned about yourself in relation to your career choices.
Answer the following process questions:

1. What were your thoughts while you were accomplishing the assessment tools? Were there
challenges/difficulties? If so, what were these challenges? Did you find some of the
tools/questions easy to answer? Why was this so?

● In this self assessment test I can say that this will be hard for you if you don’t really know
yourself, and in my situation, I know myself and I know what I want so this is just easy to
answer, but it’s kinda challenging in the career interests part. I had difficulties in choosing the
best option in every column because there’s a time that I wanna pick both option but I have no
choice because I’m only allowed to pick one, but that’s how it is, I manage to pick what I like. I
can say that these activities were very interesting because I got a time to figure out myself more
and what career I wanna pursue.

2. Hearing your classmates share their scores, what points were you alike? How did this make you
feel about your own profile? Were there interesting differences? How did this make you feel?
What did you realize while hearing your classmates share their scores?

● Well, we did this activity asynchronously so I didn’t get to know the scores of my classmates,
but me and my friends showed our work to each other. One of my friend’s scores is higher than
mine, and my other friend's is lower than mine. I can say that there were a lot of differences in
our personality when it comes to how we chose in the column. I don’t how I feel about this but I
realized even though there are differences in our scores and personality, we still manage to get
along and respect how we act.

3. What areas do you think you need improvement on? How do you think you will go about
improving them? Give concrete examples.

● Based on the Big 5 Personality and Self-assessment, I got the lowest score in the letter E part
which means extroversion or social interaction so I think and I believe that I should develop my
social skill. I know in myself that ever since I was a kid I am really shy and quiet to the point that
I really had a difficulty in speaking to people that I know. I also have just a few friends and really
don’t have a big circle of group because I don’t know how to socialize. But I really wanna
improve that and I think the ways on how I will improve this is by:

-Starting little by little, like practice the things I want to say to a person and finally speaking to
them.
-Giving myself a motivation until I finally got the confidence to face people.

4. What realizations do you have after seeing the whole picture based on the different areas where
you were assessed? How do you think this information will be relevant to your career decision?
● realized that I really need to figure out what I want to do in the future because that will define
what career I will pursue and I also realized that there a lot of things that I really wanna improve
so that I can do better next time and so that I can do my best while working or doing another
things. This will be relevant to my career decisions because I got to choose what activities/job I
will enjoy and I will be basing my career choice whether I enjoy doing it and if I’m happy with
that job.
