ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

The completion of this research pursuit was possible only because of the help,
support and encouragement provided by scholarly academicians, industry people,
family and friends. Hence I am highly indebted to each one of them who were
involved directly or indirectly in this research.

Firstly I owe my sincere gratitude and would like to thank my Guide Dr. Shaila
Bootwala, for providing unrelenting support and guidance throughout the different
stages of my research work, she has always been a source of inspiration for me and
an incredible mentor to me. Her timely help and co-operation helped to refine the
work in every aspect.

I am also thankful to the HOD of Accounts Dr. M.G. Mulla, Abeda Inamdar Senior
College for his insights which has proven quite beneficial for the present thesis.

My sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Mehmood Sayyed, for his support for
statistical analyses, his detailed and constructive comments have been of great help.

I am deeply thankful to all the marketing directors and managers of the companies
for their active contribution and help in this research study.

Thank you is a very small word when it comes to your family, my husband Mudassar
has been a constant source of support and inspiration without him this research
journey would not have been possible. My son’s Danish and Farhan for extending
their co-operation and encouragement to carry on with my research endeavours.
