Throughout the tiresome period of research, a number of people stood by me and

were of great help. Here, I would like to record my sincere gratitude and appreciation to
all those who provided help, support, and encouragement, enabling me to complete my
Ph.D. thesis. First of them all is my research guide, Dr. H. Nanje Gowda, Principal,
Yuvaraja’s College, University of Mysore. It gives me immense pleasure to express my
deep sense of gratitude and heartfelt thanks to him for his unfailing support, practical
guidance, and fatherly attitude right from the beginning until this work came to life.

I would also like to express my deep sincere gratitude to Dr. G. Kotreshwar,

Professor and Chairperson of BOS and Dean of Faculty of Commerce and
Management, Manasagangothri, University of Mysore, for his valuable help and
cooperation throughout my course of study. My sincere thanks also go to all Professors
