Scope-Airlines Reservation System

Basic Functionalities and Modules

1) Search & Reservation :


a) Customers can search a flight using following options:
i) Source and destination
ii) Flight no.
iii) Source only
The customer can select date, timing, service class, number of persons and
type of flight (Non Stop-Connecting/Connecting)

b) Customers can search for foll type of journey:


i) One way
ii) Round trip
iii) Multi-City.

c) After searching, a no of flight choices are displayed before customer and for each
flight foll indicators or links for different facilities are to be displayed:
i) Wi-Fi internet access.
ii) Movies, shows, games etc. on demand.
iii) Power facilities for charging laptop, mobile etc.
iv) Tv availability.
v) Type of aircraft.
vi) Source, destinations and stoppages.
vii) Flight departure and arrival timing.
viii) Availability in either travel class (Business/Economy).
ix) Meals availability.
x) Seat view.

d) After selecting a flight the user has to enter foll details:


i) Name.
ii) Age.
iii) Passport no.
iv) Goldcard no(if purchasing ticket online).
v) Agent id(applicable only if the customer books ticket through agent.

e) Making Flight reservation


i) make the required payment and get his ticket from agent.
ii) If he/she is paying online through a special “Goldcard” issued by the airlines
Then an auto generated E-mail should be sent to his/her email-id which
contains the ticket as attachment which the user can download and print.

f) Getting Boarding Passes:Boarding passes can be issued within 24 hours of flight


departure. The customer can login through his Goldcard account and print his
boardpass which would be an attachment sent by the system in an
autogenerated email when 24 hours are left for flight.

2) Ticket Changes and Refund


a) Ticket change: If a customer wants to change his foll journey details like:
i) Source
ii) Destination
iii) Flight date
iv) Flight(Aircraft type)
v) Travelling class
vi) Flight timing(on same day).
vii) No of persons travelling.

Then he/she can make the required changes till 2 hours before the departure
time of the flight. When he/she changes these details the amount will be
debited/credited from/to user or agent’s account. The old ticket will be cancelled
and a new ticket will be issued.

b) Refund:If a customer wants to get his /her refund then refund amount will be
subjected to foll conditions:

c) Refund methods
i) Using Goldcard : The refunded amount will be credited to your account.
ii) Agent : The refunded amount will be credited to agent’s account.

3) Travel information:
a) Flight status: The customer can check flight status here .He/She can enter her ticket
no and get all the information about flight status. She/he can also subscribe to our
service which automatically informs customer if his/her scheduled flight (in next 24
hours) is cancelled or rescheduled.
b) Ticket confirmation: The customer/agent can check the status of his/her seat no and
can know whether his/her ticket has been confirmed if the ticket was assigned a
waiting no.
c) Check-in information etc.
d) Drop in/Pick up cab facility.
e) Baggage information.

4) Masters(accessible only by administrator)


a) Agent Master: The user can
i) Add a new agent account.
ii) Delete old agent account.
Those seeking to become an agent should get themselves registered through
administrator. The account of those agents whose monthly earnings are less
than INR 1000 will be deleted automatically and their fees will be fortified.

b) Goldmember Master: The user can


i) Add a new Goldmember account and an amount of 50000 should be credited
to its account.
ii) Delete old Goldmember account.
iii) The account should be automatically deleted after 1 year from its creation
date or as the amount in user’s account decrements to 0,whichever occurs
first.
iv) As the user reserves flight the amount should be automatically debited from
its account.

c) Aircraft Master: The user can add new types of aircraft through this master and can
also delete old ones.

d) Flight Master: The user can add/delete new flights/old flights.

5) Complaints and Suggestions: The customer can make suggestions or complaints.


Each complain will carry a reference no which can be used to track that complain.

6) Contact us: The customer can select his region and get the travel agents location in
its nearest vicinity.

Users

a) Administrator:
I. Adds and delete Agent.
II. Adds and delete Goldmember account.
III. Adds and deletes aircrafts.
IV. Adds, deletes and reschedules flight.

b) Travel Agent
I. Can Book or cancel ticket through his account.
II. Will get 2% commission for every ticket booked.
III. Will lose the commission if ticket is cancelled
