HOW TO MAKE A GOOD CONFESSION
1. Make the Sign of the Cross
2. Say: “Bless me Father for I have sinned, my
last confession was (state when it was).
These are my sins…
3. Tell your sins honestly to the priest.
4. Listen to the priest’s advice
5. Pray the Act of Contrition
6. Receive the Absolution – sign that you are
forgiven from your sins
7. Pray your penance in silence
ACT OF CONTRITION
Oh my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended
you who are all good and deserving of all my love. I
firmly intend, with Your help, to do penance, to sin
no more, and to avoid whatever leads me to sin.
Our Savior Jesus Christ suffered and died for us; in
