Abstract: In the recent years, 2D Animation has been widely used in education. Through 2D
animation, complicated topics are simplified. With it's moving graphics incorporated with
narrations and sounds, learners are able to easily understand the given topic due to the different
varieties it offers, as well as visualize various scenarios that are difficult to explain. Agriculture
has played a large part on filipinos every day lives, but some students lacks interest when it comes
to the subject agriculture. With Agriculture being DLSAU's specialty, the researchers decided to
incorporate the usage of 2D animation in student's learning retention, choosing the topic "Pest
Control Management" in the subject agriculture. To determine the effects of 2D animation in
teaching agriculture, the researchers created an animation, and have chosen all six sections from
Grade 10 as the participants. The sections were then divided into two: Experimental and Control
group. The experimental where taught using the 2D animation that the researchers have created,
while the control group was taught using the traditional method. After being taught the lesson,
students have taken a quiz and their scores were then computed and analyzed. According to the
results of this research, using animation enhances the student's learning retention. Since Animation
includes motion and sounds, students are able to understand the given topics successfully, and as a
result, it doesn't overload the learner's brain capacity.
