SPEECH TEXT FOR THE HEADMASTER

HIP LAUNCHING EVENT

MONDAY ( 1.4.2024)

Assalamualaikum W.B.T and an incredibly good morning to the respected,

Madam Hairuzi bt Miskun (Senior Assistant of Curriculum), Mr. Normanuddin bin
Torman (Senior Assisstant for Students’ Affairs), Mr. Nor Azmi bin Sakdun ( Senior
Assisstant for Co-Curricular Affairs), teachers and my dear students.

First, thank you to the Almighty Allah S.W.T , because with His blessings , we
are here today for HIP launching event. I am honoured to be here this morning at our
first monthly assembly in English as one of the programme under Highly Immersive
Programme Unit collaboration with the English, Bahasa and Arabic Panel of SK
Puncak Alam 2.

Teachers and students,

The Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) is a programme introduced under the
MBMMBI policy that will improve the English proficiency of students through
increased exposure in schools. It is a reinforcement of the 1999 Ministry of
Education circular on implementing English enrichment activities in and out of class.
The approach is to empower schools, by the schools and for the school.

Teachers and students,

Several programmes have been planned by Highly Immersive Unit of SK
Puncak Alam (2) for 2024/2025. Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to
encourage my dear colleagues, teachers and students to fully support and give
cooperation to all the programmes prepared by the HIP unit of our school.

Teachers and students,

Let us promise ourselves to try our best to start talking to one another in
English, especially on Tuesdays. My dear students, Tuesday is also the special day
for you to show your hidden talents such as singing, storytelling, reading a poem and
other types of performance which can help to build your confidence level to use the
language more frequently and at the same time, to increase the usage and exposure
of the English language in school. Finally, I hope each of us could work hard to make
sure all the programmes prepared by the HIP Unit a success. With the cooperative
effort of everyone of us here, I am sure that we can build a great English language
speaking environment in our school.
